One common problem reported about the Averatec C3500 Tablet PC's is its short battery life.  

I noticed that the battery arrived partially charged and it ran down quickly.  After recharging, my first use of the computer also ran down quickly (90 to 100 minutes), slamming me into standby with no notice.

I have done nothing for power management, settings for hibernation, and other steps to prolong battery life.  I also have not done whatever it might take to have the battery be fully charged and offering its maximum endurance.  

This notebook records my efforts at systematically exploring the battery and power management capabilities and determining an usable battery capacity.
