I've been seeing this error in my Feed Reader for weeks. Today it became an irresistible test for putting images into my blog articles.

I have many screen shots and photos, but I tend to edit them onto a page on my web site, review them for presentation the way I want it, then link the web-hosted image into a blog page.  This is not particularly productive.

Today I am using Flickr.  That does mean I must maintain the Flickr account to preserve the image's availability.  Another way would be to host the photos on the same site that hosts my blogs, so at least there is only one set of bills to pay and one site to keep coordinated.  I'll try that next.
